Playing in the MUD!!

What a fun Memorial Weekend! We headed down to Caineville, Utah for some fun four wheeling and boy did we get it! On Saturday it rained... Rob decided to take the kids out for a little dune buggy ride and I stayed back to study for my JetBlue test... After an hour I decided to take a break and clean up the trailer... after awhile I realized it was pouring outside and rivers were all around me! I immediately realized that the reason my family wasn't back was they were stuck somewhere. I said a prayer and knew I could not hop in the truck because that would not make it out in the mud (it was so much like quick sand -- it was scary) I decided I needed to head out and find them... as I opened the trailer door, in a distance, I saw my family coming back... sure enough the buggy's were stuck and they had to abandon them & save themselves :P They were soaked head to toe with Mud & Water. Needless to say my clean trailer didn't stay clean very long. Here are a few fun pics of our trip!

13 years & Counting! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I can't believe how quickly time goes by when you're having fun! I thank my Heavenly Father for you in my life. You are my Prince Charming, the Man of my Dreams and everyday I feel so lucky to have you by my side. I love you forever!

My New Baby

I had an amazing Mother's Day! My husband had breakfast in bed for me with red & yellow roses on my night stand and the kids all around with beautiful cards they had made. I felt like the luckiest person ever and then the biggest surprise ever... a new baby! He is so handsome and playful and fun! I just love him! We call him Deagan El Diablo. Deagan was the name, but he earned El Diablo -- he is the cutest little stink but if you are not watching carefully he will hide in the grass to attack you.

The most dangerous sport -- Being a Kid!!

So all weekend I was worried about Coleton at Scouts, but he came home safe and sound and as soon as I updated my blog he came in with blood everywhere! He and his buddies were out playing football, Coleton went for the tackle and ended up tackling his friends bike -- OUCH!

Mountains I Conquered this weekend

For those who really know me I've always HATED running. I'm more of an aerobics girl/ or dancer, but running - no way! So 13 weeks ago my brother Tom TELLS me that I'm running in a 1/2 Marathon. I laughed! Well today I did it!! WE DID IT!! Tom- Jessy - Stefanie & Me! I am so proud of us all, I cried! I can't believe how wonderful it feels to be over that mountain- I now really enjoy running and would like to do this again! Here are some pics from the end of the race. Tom-- thanks for the challenge! Jessy-- thanks for pushing me! Stef--thanks for being my running partner! Without you I would not have been able to get up at 6am and run in the snow to get ready for this-- you are my rock! I love you all!



So for my other MOUNTAIN--- it may not seem like a mountain to most of you, but for me, it was! Coleton had his first Boy Scout Overnighter. At first you think, go and have fun -- but then you start remembering all the stories on the news of boys who get lost or get dragged out of their tents by a bear, and then you start realizing how short life is and how important it is to make every moment matter. And then you DON"T want them to leave. I couldn't let Coleton see me crying, I had to be strong. But the moment I dropped him off I couldn't hold it in any longer. I know if I didn't have the race this morning I would have convinced Rob that we needed to go camping (and just happen to be in the same area :P) But Coleton is getting older and I had to let go and that was a big thing for me! He's home safe and sound and had a really good time. I'm thankful all went well, I love him very much! I feel like a stronger person and know that it will be easier the next time!

Our Weekend Getaway

Our neighbors invited us down to Capitol Reef for the Easter weekend.. we had never really heard too much about it, but thought that it sounded nice to just get away and play. As the week approached the weather reports were not good, and the snow scared everyone away. But Rob has a hard time with change (as many of you know) and so we stuck it out and drove the 4 hours down to Torrey, Utah. WHAT A BLAST!!!

Third Grade is intense. Elise had to read a book about a person and then for her report, dress up as the character and participate in a Wax Museum. The gym was transformed. All the children were dressed as famous people of all sorts and classical musical was playing in the background. The children had to choose a pose and were not allowed to move. It really was impressive.

You know it's bad when neighbors stop to stare!

Rob got a new Vinyl machine and has been playing with it all night! This is what he did yesterday and this morning as neighbors were out and about a few of them STOPPED to look at it. Rob is so excited to get into this so if you know of anyone who needs vinyl let him know. This machine is huge and can do trucks, trailers, signs... pretty much anything you want. I'm a little nervous for his next target!

Temple Celebration!

I am so excited to be a part of the Temple Celebration with the youth! Our stake is assigned the Jitterbug. When I was first asked to help out with this I thought 'Oh no, I've never danced the Jitterbug -- I can't do this' But after tonight I am ecstatic! We had the first practice and I can't believe how well everyone picked it up! It was hard to just stand by - I wanted to grab a partner and jump in! Maybe next week Rob will come with me. This really is a neat opportunity for the youth and I hope they see that. I have added our stake link to my blog roll so check it out.

Ambers Special Day

Little Miss Amber was baptized this month and it was such a beautiful day. I had the fun opportunity of taking her pictures before hand... Austin the nut kept trying to jump in the picture. What's funny is he was full on grinning thinking this was all about him. That kid makes me laugh! Congratulations Amber we are so proud of you!
