“I've noticed that being with you, I smile more often, I anger a little less quickly, the sun shines a little brighter, and life is so much sweeter. For being with you takes me to a different place: a place called love.”

I SURVIVED GIRLS CAMP!!
I survived Girls Camp! Oh yes, I did!
About a month ago I got called to be the Girls Camp Cook, I thought 'SURE, this will be so much fun'. Holy Cow, it was a lot of fun, but it was also a lot of work!
We arrived on Wednesday, and after setting up camp we had free time. Rob & the kids were still there so we got a game of volleyball going. Near the middle of the game I twisted my foot pretty good in a pot hole and had to sit out.. at the end of free time Rob left for home and I prepared for my first meal. As the day progressed my foot got bigger and bigger till it wasn't fitting so well in my shoe. Lucky for me we had another free time scheduled and so for the full 3 hours I was able to put my foot up with ice on it. That brought the swelling down so my foot could fit back into my shoe and then I was back to cooking for the next meal. By the end of the night I thought, there is no way I can do this. I prayed for nearly 10 minutes asking for help, before I went to bed. The next morning 2 things happened. First -- my foot felt soooo much better (I couldn't run & jump on it, but I could walk) and Second -- Our ward needed another Priesthood leader up at camp and so Rob had to come back up. And when he was there he helped me with every little thing! My prayer was answered more than I could have hoped for!
I loved Girls Camp! I loved being with the girls! I loved getting to know the leaders better! I loved having my family up there with me and spending time with them!

Swim Lessons

So to keep my kids busy this summer we have signed them up in swimming lessons. They have been going for 6 weeks now and have become quite the little swimmers! I love seeing them swim. I love seeing them dive for rings at the bottom of the deep end. I love seeing them jump off the diving board. I love it!!! See just a year ago they absolutely hated it and every morning they would be screaming not to go, but this year they just jumped in & conquered their fears, I am so proud!

Birthday Surprise!

Me & My Honey

OUR PILOT -- jimmy

I had a perfect birthday! My husband has this friend who has his pilot license and they worked it out so I was able to go flying on my birthday! I am so thankful for Natalie & Jim!!! They are such great friends! It really made my day. I am usually not an emotional person, but after such a beautiful view of the valley I couldn't help, but think about how blessed I am.
The only thing that I have to say is next time.... NO ROLLER COASTER!!!

iFLY

How cool is this! So every year Grandma Linda & Papa take the kids for a sleepover. Girls one night and then Boys another. And every year they are so creative to put a theme to their sleepovers & the kids love it! This year the boys were taught about being a missionary and angels protecting them... they then took them to iFLY down in Ogden, UT, and let them practice flying. Coleton loved it! It was so great to see him as he stepped out into the unknown and succeed! Rob and I have tried to teach our children to be afraid of nothing, to believe in themselves, and to trust in the Lord & they will succeed. I love watching them grow up and face these challenges and seeing their confidence grow as they accomplish what they set out to do.

What time is it? SUMMER TIME!

Schools Out! End of the school year is here and the kids are so excited. We have BIG plans for the summer and they can't wait to get started.
Every year there is always an award ceremony and this year both Coleton & Elise took home the 'Leadership' award. I was so proud because only ONE per grade gets that and they took it. Coleton's teach later told him that the Leadership award is given to the child that is kind to everyone, gets along with everyone, and sets a good example for everyone... He was very happy!
WAY TO GO KIDS!

Elise's Baptism
This was such a beautiful day. I am so proud of Elise and for her decision in being baptized. The spirit was so strong and when I went into the back room to help Elise up the stairs I was so happy and there was so much love and the spirit testified to me that Elise had made the right choice.. I can't completely explain it, but it was beautiful.
I want to thank our family and friends for coming and supporting Elise and helping me with Lunch. It was all delicious! WE LOVE YOU ALL!

DANCE LIKE NOBODY'S WATCHING
You've heard the saying, 'DANCE TILL YOU DROP'? Oh my goodness. I did drop! Not only was I busy with field trips, yard work (to get ready for the baptism bar b q), house work (all that laundry from our camping weekend), the actual baptism (that I had to speak at & make the programs), we had DANCE, DANCE, DANCE all week. Tuesday we had the dress rehearsal (4 till 6:30), Wednesday we had pictures (4:30 till 6:15). and then Friday was the SHOW! (6 till 9).
But it was all worth it in the end. Once the girls hit the stage you could do nothing but smile! I hope that they remember these moments and when life gets hard 'Dance Like Nobody's Watching'!

2nd Grade Tracey Aviary

This was Elise's field trip for 2nd Grade. The funny thing is, is that I was so prepared yesterday with Faith's fields trip that my bag was so heavy for no reason (because it didn't rain) and so I lightened my load and only took the bare necessities and it POURED on us! How crazy is that! But we did have a great time. On the way home I had 1/2 the bus singing with me.. even one little boy said "I don't want this day to ever end, can I take you home" LOL!
Elise's favorite part of the field trip was 'seeing the Golden Eagle and the Bald Eagle because they were really cool and very rare'.

KINDERGARTEN ZOO DAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD

A little girl needs her daddy
To love her with manly charm,
To soothe her when she’s hurt,
And keep her safe from harm.
A girl needs her dad
To show her a man who’s good,
To help her make right choices,
As only a father could.
A woman needs her father
Just to be aware,
He’ll always be there for her
To sustain her and to care.
You’ve been all these things. I hope you can see how much I treasure you; You mean everything to me. I love you dad!
